Rocky4 Posted March 10, 2011 Posted March 10, 2011 Pales in comparison to The Whos version.... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iJCXpFy0E5s
SG FAN Posted March 10, 2011 Posted March 10, 2011 Pales in comparison to The Whos version.... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iJCXpFy0E5s I really dig Mr Bonamassa, but I totally agree.
EVOL! Posted March 10, 2011 Posted March 10, 2011 Pales in comparison to The Whos version.... +10000000000... This is what you call rock & roll.
Silenced Fred Posted March 10, 2011 Posted March 10, 2011 I've never been a huge Who fan, but that was kickin! Fred must listen to more
EVOL! Posted March 10, 2011 Posted March 10, 2011 I've never been a huge Who fan, but that was kickin! Fred must listen to more The whole Ilse of Wright set is required listening. This was when the band was at their best; playing like a well oiled machine. Moon's drummer was never better and Townshend rocking the P-90 equipped SG through a tower of Hiwatt amps is a Church of the Sonic Guitar gospel lesson.

All live Who from 68 to 70 is required listening in my book. The Woodstock footage is amazing. On a side note, I passed on Bonamassa in my area last night. I've heard some of his stuff and it just seems so white to me. Somethings missing, but I can't put a finger on it.

I will have to go get some more Who in addition to that Cap'n Crunch
heymisterk Posted March 10, 2011 Posted March 10, 2011 The WHO's version of that song, especially on either the Isle of Wight or Live at Leeds album/concert, is one of the best covers of all time IMHO.
Californiaman Posted March 10, 2011 Author Posted March 10, 2011 Oh I agree 100%. The Who's version is the greatest ever. It's just good to see performers out rocking with their version of a classic song. Any band that can pull off YMB during a live performance deserves some credit.
BoyVader Posted March 11, 2011 Posted March 11, 2011 Just wanted to agree...so that my avatar could grace this post... Pete is god!
FirstMeasure Posted March 11, 2011 Posted March 11, 2011 Here's some more Who for ya' Yeah, but it pales in comparison to the original. Sorry, couldn't resist.
myspace.com/jessenoah Posted March 11, 2011 Posted March 11, 2011 It amazes me how those old rigs could be so bright, but sound so heavy and thick and awesome!
