vw1300 Posted March 11, 2011 Posted March 11, 2011 True. Awesome looking guitar for sure though. I love those pictures of Django - the very definition of cool.
Gilliangirl Posted March 11, 2011 Posted March 11, 2011 Sounds like he's able to back up his story so I'm tending to believe his story. Sharp-looking guitar for sure! No bids yet!
stein Posted March 11, 2011 Posted March 11, 2011 Maybe so: 1) It is a top notch proffesional guitar, and it looks like a quality build. 2) It actually has historical value in a place in history, musically. 3) It is extremely rare, maybe the only one left, and it looks to be in great presrved condition. 4) It appears to be the ACTUAL guitar concerning the above. I think when it comes to certain guitars, monetary concerns aside, they become a piece of history that has more value to society as a whole being presrved and studied, rather than played. not that they should'nt be played at all. I myself am curious to how it sounds and compares to the other top dogs for the big band era, and perhaps this guitar has a sound that is better in areas. Having THE origional sample would make this possible, for those interested.
brians356 Posted March 11, 2011 Posted March 11, 2011 He's asking $165K and all he can bother to provide are a few crappy pics off a Blackberry?
