EVOL!
Hope this question isn't too odd. The pilot light on my Silvertone amp dims and flickers sometimes because the lamp is not all the way in there. The socket is a mirror of the Fender design (insert lamp and twist). The problem is my sausage fingers cannot get the lamp in there because once the lamp is in the socket, it is flush with the face plate. I cannot get enough leverage to twist it & lock it into place. Know of any tricks or tools to get that lamp all the way in?
milod
Try maybe wrapping some paint masking tape - the kind that doesn't leave glue of some sort on the wall - with kinda a pigtail that comes up and away from the bulb. After the bulb is in firmly, undo the tape. That's one possibility. Another is similar with a bit of thin rubber that can grip the light, has clearance on the sides, and still give you a grip. m
