RASM
Last year I bought a Gibson Sg Special and one week ago the treble Pichup started to fail. The problem is when I change the toggle switch from normal or rhythm to treble, when I do that my pickup doesn´t work. What can I do?
BigKahune
. Take the backplate off behind the three way switch - check for loose connections and clean the contacts.

retrosurfer1959
Probably not of any real help to you but The toggle switch on my robot had to be replaced three times in six months. It's actually a problem with the the way it fits in the case, if it's not centered (the switch) the case pressure damages the switch? this is the only guitar I've ever had this problem with and it's kind of bizarre. I now have a little felt/foam donut thing I put over the switch when it's in the case and no more issues so far.
BigKahune
... I didn't know they did a SG Robot and a SG Robot Special, which is it? Actually, the SG Robot Special are still being made - http://www2.gibson.com/Products/Electric-Guitars/SG/Gibson-USA/Robot-SG-Special.aspx When Gibson introduced the SG Robot, they sold a SG Robot Limited Edition with MOP inlays, bound ebony fretboard, bound headstock and metallic finishes. Here's my 08 SG Robot LTD -
