freak show
IMO there are no drawbacks. It's always good to be well hung...
WahKeen
Call me paranoid but I hang my "lesser" guitars only. I've never heard valid concerns about hanging even the high end ones, but I'm just cookie that way.

WahKeen
Watching that video, I love it how the floor creaks as he gingerly walks around. I keep waiting for a drunk guy to plow his van into the store downstairs and watch the whole thing plummet down, LOL!
BigKahune
Some pricey and rare guitars hangin around http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rw5uX6PFPGs That video illustrates another drawback to hanging - If you hang 'em that close together - Listen as George pulls that first guitar down and hits that other guitar with it - sort of gently, but a hit nonetheless. I hate hearing that at the music shop with all those "customers" noisily pulling stock down and banging it back up. Brutal. Of course, if you're the boss, no one cares.
