"comes pre tuned" lol so if I show up and the guitar isn't tuned, can I bargain more of a price?

Went to guitar center because my mom and sister went shopping at a mall. I have to say this guitar played amazingly and the color is gorgeous. Wish I had the 500 to take it home :(

Then I played this Explorer. Great playing, but the back was covered in pink marks and they wanted just below new price for it. As I playing it, something felt off. Look at the stopbar and yep, strings were sliding around. No angle, no tension. I asked a floor guy why they didn't do anything he's like it allows for easier bending... Wtf?

I once bought a guitar that had not been tuned. I had to take it to my local tech and it cost me £30 to get it tuned! [cursing]

:^o

It's YOU Fuzzy "Buddy" Fred. [flapper]

I kind of dig that turquoise color. Reminds me of the 1957 Chevy Bel Air my dad used to own. Cut my teeth on that car... literally. [woot]

Seriously, I am looking up refin prices for my next planned purchase... Do I want that blue guitar? Hell yeah.

maybe my Les Paul can get that refin.... hmmmmmm [biggrin]

€pi did a run of Casinos in that tourquoise color a while back and I almost scored one for $200. It was sweet.

This is a Riviera, that color is sweet. I've been trying to find the cheapest places for refins I'm seriously considering getting my LP refinished in a Pelham Blue, get a Sheraton and have that one go to this turquoise. I love weird blues

You should look for one of the old "teal blue flip-flop" finished LP Studios or SG Specials. They're hard to find but that finish is soooo sweet. I almost got one of those SGs too haha.

I've wanted a tourquoise guitar for a while.

Chicago Music Exchange used to have a few, but they wanted like 1500 for them. Not gonna pay that for a used special

That's the thing about them.. They're really sweet but everyone wants way too much for them. I've found one for a good price but I didn't have the cash. I really wanted to get it and throw some p90s in it.

My 5 year goal is to get a mid 60s SG with original P90s.

I'd rather just refinish my LP, its gonna be a nifty guitar when I'm done with it. Bigsby, DeArmond and TV Jones pickups, might add a third pickup to it

Tell the guy who said that the guitar comes pre-tuned, thats its not tuned to the tuning you wanted.

Sounds sweeeet.

By the way my drummer was just telling me about a Greenhornes show coming up. I'm definately gonna go and the tickets are $10 so I'm pretty stoked. Not as sweet as seeing them with the Black Keys but still pretty awesome.

They have a show coming up in Chicago. Tix are like 15 bucks, but its 21+

No joke, I love the Black Keys, but the Greenhornes were astounding. They sounded so good. You will enjoy it

That's good to hear. I'm excited. They better play Pigtails and Kneesocks! That's my jam!

When I saw them, they didn't. Most of it was stuff off of their new album with a few of their big hits. They just sounded awesome. And Craig Fox played a few sweet SGs
