quakana
Just curious, are these models custom shop models? The serial number is 078328 but in the past I am used to seeing a CS before the number if its a custom shop model
Tim Plains
That's a good question. The serial number on my ES-335 also doesn't have a CS in front, but it's on the Custom Shop website.
Raptor
VOS or not the Historic Reissue Customs would either start 7 YXXX or 4 YXXX depending on if it was the 57 or 54 reissue Custom. The 1968 LP Custom that the CS used to make would have a serial format of YYXXXR which could fit your number 078328 making it the 832nd 68 LP Custom 'Reissue' (it is not a true reissue) made in 07. The thing is, I thought that they were discontinued in 2006. Your serial number could also fit a 2007 LP Classic YYXXXX making it the 8328th Classic made in 07, if it were a Classic that is. Your best bet in this case would be to call Gibson at 1-800-4-GIBSON or send an e-mail to service@gibson.com and ask them about the serial number. The call is toll free and they are there 24/7 365 days a year.
