Good band, excellent job! I'll probably be crucified, for this,

but there's just a bit too much SRV, in there, for me. And, I like

SRV...don't get me wrong. But, there just So Much of that style

(at least, around here), done, nowadays. I know they're from

Texas (San Angelo), just wish they'd get away from that, a little

bit more. But, that's just me. Good band, though!

Well, as mentioned, I like SRV, too...Bill. I guess, I bristle

a bit, anymore, when I hear other's doing it (too much). Every

band, and "lead" guitar player, here...that's the only style

they seem to use, anymore. Especially "Strat" players. I'd just

like to see a bit more Freddy King, BB King, Albert King (Although

Stevie had a lot of Albert, in his influences), Buddy Guy, Mike

Bloomfield, EC, and SO many other's, they could choose, to borrow

from. Because I hear that SRV influence, so much, it's kind of

put me off, him...a bit. But only, a bit! LOL [biggrin]

I don't care to much for copy cats either, but if it's done well, I enjoy it. I think these boys give the SRV sound some justice. I'm going to download some tonight. [biggrin]

No voice synths.... [thumbup]

No rap............. [thumbup]

And SRV copied Jimi....So what goes around....

These guys are dam good.... [thumbup]

Exactly!

And yeah, they are a decent band...wouldn't argue that fact.

I would just prefer a bit more of "them," and less SRV.

But, again....that's just me. ;>)

+1

agreed. I'm living in TX, and I'd gradly listen to SRV tones. If anything more would be appreciated.

I'd much rather hear an SRV clone then some of the "texas country" crap that is going around.

If you are white, like Texas A&M, dropped outa college, and have an acoustic... in these parts youd be an open mic regular

And open mic nights are becoming coutry nights; less and less rockers are showing up :(

Nothing was worse than the whole chugga-chug metal screaming crap, but these george strait clones are getting old.

Back on topic.... Los Lonely Boys' guitarist is refreshing nod to stevie, IMHO.
