meadowz06
I just bought my 9 year old son a 1960's Gibson Les Paul studio tribute for his upcoming birthday. I have read that certain guitars of this model are made in 2-4 pieces. How would you tell? I a drummer, so I don't know much about guitars. The build date was March 3rd. Found out it is a 2 piece! Sixty3
Flip it over and check the grain pattern. Mine is a 3 piece body which is easy to see.
charlie brown
Also, you can see the number of seams, on the back end of the body. CB
strat-o-steve
Geez, wish I had received a guitar this awesome when I was 9 :D I was still beating around on a cheap Harmony back then! Anyway, like stated before, look at the back and you can see the seams by where the grain lines differ. Or check the bottom side ( the end pin or back strap button ) area and count the seams there.
