Raise The Hammer
Hey guys, nice forum here. My father in law dug this old Gibson acoustic out and was wondering if I knew anything about it, but I'm more of an electric guy. Can you guys help me out with date, rarity and value or any other info? Here are some shots. Thanks My link
StijnV
Hi Raise The Hammer, The guitar appears to be original. The serial number refers to a guitar from 1963-1969. See attached the specifications of the C-0 as this model is called, specs are taken from the Gruhns Guide to Vintage Guitars. This guitar model was available between 1962 and 1970. That thus matches to each other. It's not possible to further narrow down the year of manufacture unfortunately. C-O.doc

jannusguy2
Do a completed auction search on Ebay. I think you'll find of those listed that did sell, they went for a couple of hundred dollars.
grampa
I say keep it and play it. I had one, it was my first "good" guitar. They're not the best classical but it is built like a truck and could take anything I dished out. I learned a lot of different types of music on it from folk to rock to classical. It was a fun guitar.
