eds111
I have an awesome 2001 H'bird. It has Grovers; which are fine, but I like the traditional look of the keystone Klusons. I am leaning towards the Tonepro Klusons. I like Gold, but may be leaning towards the Satin Nickel. I think the Satin Nickel would look classic. Did H-birds always have gold Klusons back in the 60's? dhanners623
Go with the satin nickel. I've seen very few guitars that look good with gold on them, but that's just my personal aesthetic.
gijs
I am considering the same switch, but I wonder a) if they fit and B) whether these klusons stay in tune as well as grovers. Would not want to miss out on that.
uyasgali
I had my originals replaced last year and they look fine to me:
E-minor7
Maybe 'age' the golden ones a bit – they suit the warm image of the Hummingbird so well.
eds111
Thanks for the input. I ordered the Satin Nickel. They might not be as warm looking as the gold, but I expect they will look and perform great. I will give an update after I install them. I am also putting on Bob Colosi's bone saddle, nut and pins. Love that Bird!
