fender101punk
I found an '83 LP custom plus with the stock kahler trem for sale locally. Price is $1500 canadian which I think is a steal. Looks to be in good condition for the age. Pickup covers removed but are included. Says he has the original case which I'm thinking is the chainsaw style case. Anyways, I'm curious to know what to look for when I go see it. It seems to be legit but I am not going to get screwed over! Also, would it be possible to remove the kahler and throw on a regular bridge set up? Looks like it's possible but not positive.
MBeshada
Nice guitar. You can't just switch out the kahler. If you were to remove the kahler system you would see the guitar is routed to make room for the rocking motion of the tremelo device. Still a nice guitar at a fair price though. Franzi
The guitar looks original.
CajunBlues
Open up the control cavity and look for the briaded shielding lead wires... and for gibson pots... If you don't know what the pots look like, look for some photos online..
BigKahune
. Looks legit. Reminds me of that Custom LP Axcess I've been GASin' for.
