retrorod
I have always used Howard Feed-N-Wax on my fretboards. Feed-N-Wax It is a combination of beeswax and orange oil. A 4 oz. bottle will last two lifetimes..

brians356
+1 on Fret Doctor (aka Bore Doctor for you woodwind players.) Check out their web site, read the scientific material there, it is very convincing. Believe me, I've worked with many woodwind players (clarinet, oboe, etc.) and they are truly fanatical about "care and feeding" of their instruments and reeds. There are lots of "inside jokes" amongst musicians about 'em. This stuff ain't cheap, but it goes a long way. Brian
