Josh1985
Hey guys, I have a Silverburst SG Robot. Despite it working well I'd rather make the guitar look a bit more classic and remove the Robot tuners and tone control. I haven't taken a look beneath it yet but are there any problems I might run into changing the tuners? I take it there's a wire running up the neck or something? I'm not too worried about the cosmetics behind the headstock - black tape doesn't bother me. I was just a bit concerned about the sizing of the tuners etc Cheers
CharlieP
There are no wires or cable thru the neck. Signal travels thru the strings. I took the MCK out and put a 500KA pot in its place on my Robot LP. Just unhook all the MCK wires and locate the correct wires to wire in the new pot. As far as the tuners,I still have the same ones in and pull to tune manually! You will have to size the holes and find what works. MY pot was the long shaft and yours may be a short shaft. You will have to measure it and order the right shaft length.
