XPAULPITT
I know this is a Gibson forum but I have an Epi G400 Custom. Its the black one and I decided to put white EMGs in it. It looks awesome, however I couldnt find any wiring diagrams for 3 active pickups. I wired it the way that made sense and it worked well but the middle pickup had very low volume. For now I just have the bridge and neck hooked up which sounds great but I feel like Im wasting the 3rd pickup. I emailed EMG but their so-called techs were clueless. They sent me a diagram for passive pickups. Are there any wiring geniuses out there who know what my problem is or have a diagram for 3 active pickups? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Jeff-7
Might try asking retrosurfer, AndyR, or djroge they all are pretty knowledgeable on wiring.
Bender 4 Life
and/or give the "DIY" thread on the Epi end of the forum a look........ might want to hit up "AnimalFarm" as well, if he doesn't have an answer, he'll point you towards someone that does. I have a Epi LPC3 in Antique Ivory and absolutely LOVE it! Played thru my Blackstar the tone is best described as "molasses filled with razor-blades" .
