Is this the end of the world????

This smells a lot like the Amazon Web Services (AWS) outage that's still healing.

Can anyone confirm if that was the problem (i'm curious about how much of my online life is riding on them), or was it something totally unrelated?

Either way i'm glad we're back ;)

I wonder if it was a software issue or if maybe a hacker got into it..........Regarding the AGF------as we all know, there are a lot of really decent folks there, and then there are the ones who can't stand Gibsons. And "consistency" is their keyword. They're used to cookie-cutter guitars and Gibsons are not like that. At least not yet. Hope they never are.....You get a Gibson because you want a Gibson. You play it and play it and it becomes the guitar you expect a legend to be.......My next one is going to be a J45.

Sorry for not having much additional to provide at this time. What we can say is that we were significantly impacted by the Amazon Cloud outage from the past few days. Beginning Thursday morning around 2:45am CST the Amazon Cloud services in our region went down. They are just now making these resources available to our systems and we are slowly bringing our sites back online. The forums are rather self contained so bringing them up was a quick process. We're currently working on the Gibson.Com website and will continue devoting our attention to bringing up our other sites as Amazon resources continue to come back online. Thank you to everyone for your patience.
