FennRx
if it was one i could afford, the LP Standard. Otherwise, I got dibs on the JP LP Sig (as long it was one of the good ones he personally picked and not one of the lower quality, hastily produced ones). Gibson CS
Id pick the Page LP for one reason...It costs more. I love a Les Paul, but if im given the choices that were stated, The JP's coming home with me! Its funny, because although im a Zeppelin fan, I was never thrilled with Pages tone. IMHO..He was all studio. You cant say Zep sounded good live. Come on guys, be honest. :)

led floyd9
My favorite is the Gibson SG Special Faded. I like faded finished guitars alot, and I prefer most SG's over LP's. I'm also surprised how perfect it is for me, considering how low the price is. I played an Gibson SG Custom (white, three pups + maestro vibrola) and I prefered the Special faded. But then tied with the SG Special Faded is the LP Standard Faded. Both great guitars.
Zaphod B
I'd pick the LP Standard. It is the rock & roll guitar paradigm. Besides, I'm not into signature models - too much of the cost of that signature gets passed on to the consumer. I do like SGs - I used to own one and it was a fine guitar. LPs really do it for me, though.

harmonicchaos
if you're talking about the new jp signature with three pups and a bigsby, i'll take that!!! btw you forgot firebirds!
Gibson CS
In my opinion the Firebird was the "less then attractive" girl at school no one wanted to date.

rjay777
I don't care for signature guitars, even though the Page model is excellent. A good 'ol LP Standard will do fine for me.
Thundergod
Is the standard faded included? I voted the standard because the standard faded is a standard anyway... isnt it? to me, its the best guitar i´ve ever played/owned... even compared to the more expensive gibsons (just my oppinoin)... the faded finish really makes it easy to play. I like the SG a lot but have only played the standard and didnt care much about the sound and the neck finish. Dont care much for signature guitars either. Gibson CS
Guys.... If the Standard is what you want, why not go for the Page model? Dollar for dollar its worth more, and your still getting a Standard. A black & white choice like that boils down to economics.
