blea07
I recently got one of the SG special 60s tribute guitars. Awesome guitar loaded with growling P-90s. It faded ebony and i love it. I also have a Epi G400, but this Gibson is so much lighter. At least 2 pounds difference. Being that the 60s tribute is a "limited" run, does anyone have any idea of exactly how "limited" these tribute guitars may be? Thank You.
zappahead311
the salesman that sold me mine said the number 2400. but i have no idea if that's just the worn cherry right handed ones or the total count of the 60's tribute.
pete c
its probably limited to how many they can sell.
BigKahune
its probably limited to how many they can sell. +1 The word "limited" has been used in advertising by stores, and Gibson has called it "limited", but neither Gibson nor any reviewers have ever mentioned a number of guitars that might be produced. So Pete is probably right. Maybe one of the Gibson C/S guys will post an answer.

atj13
I guess at the end of the day, the guy(s) who makes that call can say "dont make any more of them" so you could call that a limit. They may have a certain amount of wood to use up and once thats gone thats the limit.
Geff
Or maybe a time limit (one year production run or some such)
sneakerpimp
the only limited i bought was the gotm limited to 400 pieces. when they say limited run there is a finite and published production quantity such as this. hopefully a gibson guy can jump in and confirm this, otherwise we may be looking at fender-like numbers :o
