retrosurfer1959
Absolutely Spanish cedar is a nice wood especially for acoustics It's just not usually a really high end wood because it is soft and marks easily so guitars made out of it need careful handling spanish cedar especially tends to be somewhat weak along the wood grain also so it's better on smaller body guitars. The cigar box comment wasn't a dig just thought it would be a good way for people to understand what the wood in discussion is and like I said it comes in a lot of different grades. from common (lowest all the way up to 5A)
