albian Posted September 22, 2008 Author Posted September 22, 2008 Please forgive me everybody. I didnt explain clearly why i want to see the picx. The answer is simple. I hv one 1999´s black with golden hardware. It has inlays smaller than usual e therefore it looks a bit different. Even its thickness is 1 cm less. Someone told was not a real Gibson and even in this forum some member were not sure about its authenticity. But I believe it is a genuine gibson as u can see on my photos below: http://i401.photobucket.com/albums/pp91/albianDODA/DSC03550.jpg http://i401.photobucket.com/albums/pp91/albianDODA/DSC03552.jpg http://i401.photobucket.com/albums/pp91/albianDODA/DSC03551.jpg I just want to compare details so that I get more calm cse I am afraid to get disapointed. I didnt receive any reply from Gibson abt this matter.:)
ChanMan Posted September 22, 2008 Posted September 22, 2008 Ahhh.. I see what you mean! I agree, those inlays DO seem small compared to other Studios I have seen. Other than that, the guitar looks good to me, but there are other folks here who are WAY better at spotting issues than I am. (I don't have a Studio, or I'd post pics for ya) GL man!!
AS90 Posted September 22, 2008 Posted September 22, 2008 Its a Les Paul Studio Lite, they were introduced in the late 80s. Some of the mahogony was routed out and filled with balsa wood so wimps and girls could own an LP.
albian Posted September 22, 2008 Author Posted September 22, 2008 Thanks! Anywy u all can keep on sending me pics cse i want to keep a gallery.
Wolff Posted September 22, 2008 Posted September 22, 2008 Musician's Friend had a guitar like that at one time. It was all mahogany, 60s neck, carved top with the gloss finish and the small neck inlays for relatively cheap $. I bet that's what this guitar is. I actually bought one and returned it.
turtle Posted September 22, 2008 Posted September 22, 2008 nice guitar> i do recall seeing a few studios with the smaller inlays. i think its cool looking>
