garandman114
Hello All, I am looking for a replacement set of strings for an L50 Gibson archtop, it is pretty old. It had the tuners replaced in the 90's and has a set of steel strings on there that are pretty old and need a new set very badly. Anyway, I was wondering what type of acoustic strings were best recommended for it, the guitar is solid with no cracks or stress, and seems to play pretty well (I typically use Ernie Ball, so if there are some Ernie ball strings that will work, so much the better). I don't need a huge heavy gauge, whatever will sound good and be fairly easy on the instrument would be great. (Hoping to find a standard set that I can get at my local guitar shops) Thanks! -Charles
StijnV
I would suggest you to try our brite wires Light gauge, which are factory standard on most of our acoustics: http://www.gibson.com/en-us/Divisions/Gibson%20Gear/Strings/Acoustic%20Guitar%20Strings/ You can purchase these through any of our authorized dealers: http://www.gibson.com/dealers/ Kind regards, Stijn
