lee_g
I recently purchased a "Vintage Matched Pair" of Hot '57 Classic PUP's. When I opened them they both have '57 Classic stickers on the bottom. Shouldn't one (1) of them have a '57 Classic Plus sticker? That's what the pair is supposed to be - 1 '57 Classic and 1 '57 Classic Plus...just wondering if there is a problem with the set. The case has paperwork that says matched set of '57 Classic and '57 Classic Plus...but it seems strange that the PUP stickers both say '57 Classic. Thanks...Lee_g
L5Larry
Put an ohm meter on each pickup and see if there is a difference. The pickup with the higher resistance should go in the bridge position. The only difference on the stickers used to be a little "+" after the "57". In any case the only difference in the pickups (57 v. 57+) is the impedance, if one meters out a little higher you should be good to go.
