Markus W. Posted May 6, 2011 Posted May 6, 2011 Hi Folks What strings are you recommend for the J-45 TV to get the best out of the stiff aditop? I prefer a woody sound without to much highs. And did someone tried the Gibson Masterbuilt 0.13? Cheers Markus

And did someone tried the Gibson Masterbuilt 0.13? Cheers Markus I use the Gibson Masterbuilt 0.12s. I love 'em, but because so, haven't experimented with many different brands or types. Who knows what I'm missing! I'm very happy with the way they sound, though. Red 333
EuroAussie Posted May 6, 2011 Posted May 6, 2011 Strong recommendation for DR Sunbeam 13's. Warm tone from the first strum with a lovelly chime, long lasting and flexible. I use them on my Aaron Lewis SJ and Im super happy with them. Definitely 13's over the 12's, big difference in tone. You can get them from Thomann, which is in your neck of the woods Markus. cheers, btw: have you organised your trip to Prague and got in touch with Belushis ?
Markus W. Posted May 8, 2011 Author Posted May 8, 2011 Thanks @all for your reply I tested some different strings and i went back to the MB 12. For me they have the woody and dry sound and the best playability. I tried some Sunbeams and Masterbuilts in 0.13 but it's to hard for my fingers. They sound good and the top vibrates well but the playability is not my thing. @EA I don't contact belushis yet because we haven't time to visit Prague together this year...:-(. But I call you when its clear...
