Cyberrock
Hi, The strings of my new baby, Les Paul R9, needs to be replaced. I was kind of curious what you guys put on these to make them sing as nicely as possible? My old Custom has been stringed with Gibson strings as well as Elixir strings, but would like to hear others R9 owners choice.

jamman
I use Gibson Vintage RI's 10's , I like the sound they give when they ae new. But I'll try different ones that are pure Nickel wound. DR's are good. But I'll use 9's instead.Because of the way they are made.

Mutttwang
Lately , for my '99 R9, it's been Rev. Willy's Mexican Lottery Brand Old No. 10. They're a regular 10-46 set. However, I have used Gibson (Les Paul, Vintage Reissue)with consistently good results.
Pythonman
D'Addario 11-49 nickle wounds right now and they feel sooo slinky I might just leave them on. Really brings out the wood sounds acoustically too.
