cookieman15061
I had the extreme pleasure of seeing these guys live last night. Few on here have probably heard of them but in the early 70s the were signed to Decca records out of Youngstown Ohio. After 3 albums and opening for everyone from the Kinks to Alice Cooper they were on the cusp of breaking big. Then lead guitarist Phil Keaggy decided to leave to become a contemporary Christian artist and the band disbanded. They were formed along the lines of Cream as a power trio but there real forte was long extended jams. They have occasionally reformed for special shows through the years. All three are fantastic musicians with Keaggy one of the greatest guitarist you'll ever hear. Here's a video from a 1972 pbs special they did. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oJgdNCYt_tA&feature=player_detailpage
