12BarD Posted September 23, 2008 Posted September 23, 2008 Well, it isnt a great photo but that ugly thing called work keeps getting in the way. I will try and get something better and post it. I really dig this guitar!!!!!
MikeRom Posted September 23, 2008 Posted September 23, 2008 Looks pretty sweet so let me be the first to say congrats on the new ax!
12BarD Posted September 23, 2008 Author Posted September 23, 2008 Thanks Guitarslinger. Now all I have to do is get good enough to really enjoy it!!!! Being a once again beginner is a cool thing but also has it draw backs. It's a bit tough to have such a great guitar in your hands when you can play very little. But I am enjoying the learning and now, somewhat more mature, I am going at it in a much better fashion. My wife really likes and helped me pick it so that too is really great.
MikeRom Posted September 23, 2008 Posted September 23, 2008 Dude .... if everyone waited until we were 'good enough' we'd all be playing the accordian
12BarD Posted September 23, 2008 Author Posted September 23, 2008 Though I didnt get to Phoenix to do this, I still owe you lunch NeoConMan!!!! I will be down there for the Smokin' Joe Kubec show at the rythm room in October so maybe we can hook up.
deepblue Posted September 23, 2008 Posted September 23, 2008 Nice one 12 bar! Congrats on your new guitar...now go wake the neighbours!
NeoConMan Posted September 23, 2008 Posted September 23, 2008 Smokin' Joe kicks *** - or so I've heard. Never seen him myself. Calender; www.rhythmroom.com/October08.html I'd be glad to join you but I have to work nights on the 9th & 10th.... :-( If you're in town the next afternoon I might be able to hook up with you. My wife is having surgery on the 8th, so I'll have to see what sort of mood she's in before I ask to go out and play... :-) Let me know!
ChanMan Posted September 23, 2008 Posted September 23, 2008 Gratz on the gorgeous new axe! I've heard great things about the new Traditionals! I think you will find your learning curve considerably shorter with the Les Paul..... at least I did!!
12BarD Posted September 23, 2008 Author Posted September 23, 2008 Thanks to all!!!! Hey Neo, I hope your wife comes through with flying colors. I will be there early that day and I will be staying over. The folks live in Phoenix so I need some time with them as well. I'll drop you a line when I know my plans for sure.
