Hi-larious. The guy couldn't even take the strings off before he took the picture, just out respect at least?

As they say on all the CSI shows--you can tell this wasn't a random act; it was a crime of passion and the attacker most definitely knew the victim. And like all victims, our poster says "Oh, I'm fine--these are just scratches."

Gospel, huh? No good news in that there household...[crying]

On second thought...maybe that top just needs to be rehumidified? It was a really dry winter...

Anyone else notice that there's also a crack in the concrete floor under the case?? And, there are other guitar cases in the background of one shot, too-- is there a Guitar Protective Services unit that should be called in for a home visit?

Rory Block guaranteed on her Delta Blues dvd that if I tap the guitar near the fretboard end of the soundhole when trying to play percussive like Patton I would be sweet...

No, not really what happened - I was cleaning all my guitars on Sunday afternoon and I had one on my lap, one on the guitar stand and one on the floor when the phone rang...

And here is the one I had leaning against the door:

"Hell hath no fury ................. "

Better take another look at that neck. The scarf joint appears to have been opened up, then snapped back. Barely visible, but it's busted.

Under the definition of chutzpah, the dictionary should show this ebay ad. 1700 smackers! KSDADDY might be able to make a passable top repair, but the bridge is toast.

Tommy K is right: the neck is busted as well, but surely there's no "splice" there: it's a one-piece neck, isn't it? Maybe this was an ongoing thing, this violent relationship.

There was a busted-up 1948 (or so) J 45 that was for sale a year or so ago, that had been turned into a framed, wall-mounted collage called "frustrated guitar player". I tried to buy it for some of the usable parts (tuners, bridge), but they guy was only interested in selling it as a "work of art".

Maybe this guy went to the same art school....

This seems over priced for the amount of work required.
