daveinspain
just got this e-mail, looks nice... Joe Bonamassa LP STudio Gold Top.
daveinspain
I agree also, except for one small item; the frigging Vol/tone knobs do not match. That would bother me so much. Love the coor and the black back; reminds me of days gone past... Joe is not the only guy who uses mix matched tone and volume knobs... Some knobs are faster then others and it's also easier to know if you are on the right knob or not without looking...
damian
I prefer Goldtops with real gold leaf.....Not that fake paint stuff......just sayin'....
pippy
I like the guitar. I, too, think that mis-matched knobs look wrong; however It wouldn't cost much to correct that 'mistake'... And when they've finished with JB's black-plastic'd G-T there is another, very similar, one waiting in the wings. I'd hate to be Mr. Murphy if I were asked to replicate a 100-off 'Aged' run of these babies... Snowy White's '57 which he's used for about the last 30 years or so. awel
It seems that Gibson has found his new star, 4 signatures model in more or less two years. I would prefer to have a R9 than any signature model but it is only my point of view

Andre S
The goldtop looks cool, but a Darkback looks wrong without binding IMHO....anyway eventually they may reissue his 59 Les Paul too!
Artie Owl
Not worth double what a regular studio costs me thinks, unless Joe will come to your house and have a beer with you later and jam, then, maybe.
BigKahune
. My feeling too Artie. It's a Studio, plain and simple. I wouldn't spend double on it unless Gibson threw in something extra like ebony f/b, coil splits, bigsby, . . . something.

Silenced Fred
MSRP is 2199. So it will probably cost about the same as a regular studio

Andre S
I believe I read from J. Bonamassa's forum that it was $1429.

charlie brown
Not really into "signature" guitars. "Lucille" is the only one, I own, and it will continue to be, most likely. Personally, I'd rather spend a little more, and get a Traditional Gold Top. Although, IF I were to get some fantastic "deal," on that particular JB "Studio," I'd take all the JB stuff, off of it, TRC, Black plastic, and substitute a 59 TRC, and cream plastic. But, that's just me! ;>) CB
