Spot
Ok guys,....wanted to ask for your help on this one. I can't figure out the alt tuning of the great cover of a Bill Withers Classic. The lead guy is Capo 5th fret with some strange tuning which I'm really struggling with!! Second guitar is straight forward and plays bass lines and is in standard tuning... Would appreciate any input. Really want to jam this one out with my bud Alex next jam session... http://youtu.be/_0bv9ifdhTc
ParlourMan
Standard tuning is my guess, capo 5th, he's playing the basis of a D, when the 2nd guy is playing G on Std tuning no capo. These blokes are my Wife's schoolfriends and neighbours ;) very cool band. What a voice that man has!
BigKahune
. Key Am Am Em G . . . . Break- Am Em Dm C/sus4 No capo guitar is standard tuning Not sure if the capo'ed guitar is tuned standard. Weird. Wait . . it's standard - with capo on 5 he's using open forms Em (to play the Am) Bm (to play the Em) D (to play G). There's also a open Am (to play Dm) and he plays a open Gsus4 (to play a Csus4). onewilyfool
Spot...I've got a pretty nice arrangement of that song in Am (although I tune my guitar down two steps to "D") I'll try to get a version up soon.....

Spot
Am is the key they're playing it in the posted video link - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_0bv9ifdhTc&feature=youtu.be Thanks guys for your input. I original thought it was standard with capo on five, but if you watch him closely he seems to be playing alot of open chords. Any ideas on open tunings??? I'm stumped!!!!!!
