bluesboy
hi, i just bought a r 8 and have a question about the seriel number. on the headstock is the number 85799. on certificate is the number and the model-type handwritten, not stamped. model type says LPR8WCNH1. could you please tell me something about my guitar and why the certificate is handwritten and especially what does WCNH1 mean? thanks a lot an best regards from germany! Custom Admin
it's an r8 from 9/2005. COAs can be hand-written or stamped...it just depends on who's doing them that day. WC=washed cherry finish, NH=nickel hardware, 1=1st quality.
bluesboy
thanks for fast response. it was sold to me as a authentic series, is that true?
Custom Admin
i don't know what you mean by authentic...if you mean "historic", then yes that's correct. if you mean Custom Authentic (lightly aged here in the factory), then no, that is not correct. my records show that the guitar originally shipped with a glossy finish.
