Rick Doeschler
Just noticed that Gibson/Epiphone is now making the 50Th anniversary Casino. That's cool but one option listed and showing is a vintage looking "Flatt vibrato arm." Well, that's what I've been looking for- for a long time. Just the "Flatt arm." My question is: will Gibson start making these (just the "Flatt arm") available for aftermarket sale? Thanks for any input, it is greatly appreciated. Riffster
Doubt they will, but being flat and a fairly simple design I bet a machinist could make you one at your own specs.
Rick Doeschler
That would be a good idea. I was just hoping to buy one already available. EBay's vintage costs are ridiculous.
TommyK
Good place to start for machining stock would be the kitchen silverware drawer. How cool would that be? A 'Butter knife' vibrato arm that looks like a butter knife, because it was made from a butter knife. Actually you'll probably want to use a table knife. They're bigger.
