A while ago, I decided to get into the "Semi-Hollow" game. My first acquisition was a 2007 ES-339 which I love. Right after, I found a 2002 ES-333 on Ebay with a repaired headstock for about $750 with original Hard Shell case. That guitar has been in my hands for every hour I am at home (including dinner) and it is my go -to guitar for rehearsals and shows. The previous owner installed a Duncan PAF 59' in the neck position and I do like that pickup (not as much as the Classic 57).

I have also acquired a Tokai ES 60 which is a poor mans ES-335. It is a very well made guitar for the $500 I paid. The pickups are good and while it uses inferior wood, it is a very resonant guitar. The neck is very similar to an ES-335 so it is very comfortable. The ES-60 has neck binding which led me to it over an Epiphone Dot.

After 30 years of Les Pauls, Strat's and Tele's, I am finally home with my ES-333...

I'm a great fan and user of the ES 335

There are Epi models at good prices, new or secondhand

Another great guitar to consider is the ES 330 and Epi Casino

Which are hollow P90 equipped guitars with similar dimensions to the 335....

WOW just picked up a mint condition es 333 in satin cherry... what a sound!!!! and so nicely put together.. the finger board and frets are amazing and the subtle creamy binding is so nice.. just need to pick up some nickel pup covers.. was gonna put a pick guard on it but might as well leave it as is as the wood grain and finish is so sweet!!!! STOKED such a nice compliment to my ec strat
