Hi Demian,

Thanks, but a reissue was released a few years ago, somewhere around 2007. The L-00 released in 1937 wasn't called "1937" or "Legend." For the reissue, Master Luthier Ren Ferguson copied Lee Roy Pernell's original '37 L-00, and it was released as the Gibson "1937 L-00 Legend." Thanks anyway.

Anyone know what the first model year was for the Gibson 1937 L-00 Legend? Was it 2007?

I think so. IIRC, the two Legend models were announced at Winter NAMM in 2007. There was an initial production run of J-45 Legends was in late 2006 (the ones that showed having the pickguard under the finish doesn't mix well with the use of a modern adhesive to glue the guard down). But I believe the initial production run for the L-00s was significantly later.
