Two things happened this weekend, I cleaned my ax AND we got a new camera. I don't know how to work all it's bells and whistles yet so I just took these in auto mode. Used Virtuoso cleaner on the body, Gibsons fretboard conditioner on the fretboard and a metal cleaner on the hardware.

Guitarslinger,

Very nice indeed. Are the faded's rough to the touch? Yours looks smooth...seen some rough looking finishes.

Getting my guitar out is an excuse to clean it..

Thanks guys!

Daveinspain: No, it doesn't only get cleaned when we get a new camera lol! But that's the beauty of the faded's, clean it or don't clean it, it generally looks about the same.

Flight959: Very smooth finish, no rough spots.

Deepblue: 10 mega pixels. It's A Nikon D60.

See that little bare patch just above the pick guard? That's where I anchor my pinky for doing palm mutes and stuff.

That's an awesome looker. I was years away from coming back to Gibson when they introduced the faded concept. I think its awesome. It really works on the flame tops. That thing ranks with some of the LP Classic Plus and Premium Plus models I saw in the mid-90's

Thanks guitarslinger... already in my computer's background!

Hey fanatic... I was gonna say the same... she looks like she is floating...maybe that pic will give gibson the idea for their next robot guitar: hoovering robot guitar... no need for tuning or a stand!

Nice guitar' date=' and is it just me or does it seem to be floating in the second one... Just thought I'd ask. Cause it sure does look like it.[/quote']

I guess thats how you know that they've taken this weight relieving business a little too far ... eusa_angel.gif

Man, that is a nice guitar. $1600 makes it even nicer. I'm considering an '08 Standard for my daughters Birthday present, because it's chambered and she's young, but that is a true beauty.

Best of luck.

The beauty of this guitar has obviously elevated guitarslinger's playing abilities exponentially, therefore granting him the superhuman power of levitation... I suppose that would make playing with your teeth easier?
