Silenced Fred
Ok, so I'm cutting off the lower horn, to make it look like the bottom of a jazzmaster (more comfortable for me IMO) It has the humbucker route, not sure if I wanna take out the original pickup I turned into a single coil, it gives me indie cred. I am thinking about building a SHO clone, this is mainly for Dub and GiantRobOT but anyone who knows, where can I get a SHO "kit" or list of parts I need? I also want to change out the bridge to something else, hate the Series 1 tremo on it, so any ideas are welcome. I'm not afraid to drill holes in the body for a switch or two so throw stuff out. I'm gonna make it awesome Love you all
brundaddy
Some of these would be killer: http://www.guitarfetish.com/MODboards_c_30.html Get wild as hell, I say. Giant fat flake paint. OG-style flying V tailpiece.

Don't wanna go ModBoard, I can put one together for way cheaper myself A Flying V tailpiece would be wicked sweet! I might do just that...
Dub-T-123
For the SHO, pm culturejam over on ILF or freestompboxes.org. He has some super small SHO PCBs (like a little bigger than a guitar pick) and he can sell you the components for it too. I just bought a PCB and some parts from him. He's a super cool dude. He built the Logic Fuzz. For finishing, check out maskedelwood's (probly spelled that wrong) thread about the Flying V that he customized. It's in the gear forum at ILF. He posts a pic of a LP that he did in there too and it's sooo awesome.

Dub-T-123
No problemo. Continuing from your post on duanes thread... Alright I'll do that. Thanks dude that's pretty sweet. Even though I only have one Devi pedal I'm a bit of a fanboy. I'd be pretty stoked about that haha. Have you checked out the new Circuit Breaker? Duuuuuuude I want one sooo baaaddddddd. She posts some humourous stuff, but then she commented on my status and I was like WTF OMGOMGOMG. Now I gotta get a Torn's Peaker kit, I told her I would lol. I gotta figure out where I wanna buy an enclosure from. It sucks because shipping is gonna kill me. 7 dollar enclosure with like 5 bucks shipping... Dub-T-123
Dude.. I love the TP so much. I got it in kindof a random trade where I was like yeah wtf I'll take it but it was totally destiny. It's definately my most used fuzz. It's pretty much all over everything I've ever sent you (not that that would make you want it haha) and I use it all the time with my "band". I just ****ing love it. Then again I have kindof weird taste. I love the paper thin, trashy fuzz out of it with the texture knob all the way down. Check out the Aenima too. It's really similar to the TP but I think you might like it a little more. I'll tell you how the enclosures are from mammoth when I get mine tommorow. I just tried to buy stuff I'd need in the future in the same order to cut down on shipping.
Silenced Fred
Yeah I dig it a ton. When Andy from PGS bust out QOTSA in the demo, I knew it was for me. I'm gonna build a kit Lemme know how the enclosures are and yeah me and a friend are gonna order a bunch of stuff
EVOL!
That humbucker space deserves a P94. It goes with fuzz like satan & rock&roll. Or beers and posting on your threads. Btw rising sun's end is P94 + fuzzfactory + carbon copy. You can have that joy too. KEEP MUSIC EVIL

Dub-T-123
Yeah the sho is pretty classic. I have one and it sounds really sweet driving my ac30. If your amp has a lot of headroom it gets really loud. It's a really useful pedal. Plus it's so purty with the little flower.

Silenced Fred
Dude, te SHO kit with all parts is less than 20 bucks!!! Definitely worth it, plus I'm gonna build a Torn's Peaker and then a fuzz factory clone, and a fuzzrite then I'm probably done with fuzz. Best part? All of that will cost like 120 bucks to do :D I might put in a P90, not sure what yet

I say look into SD if you want high output, Lollar if you want more of a classic 90 tone. my two cents.

And please keep me posted on how that clone turns out. I have been thinking about a boost pedal, but have to wait and see how much I need it to justify buying a SHO. The less expensive clone might be the better option.

But I would want different pickups. I might go with a GFS copy of the Dearmond pickups, they said its like a P90 but with low mids, could sound killer for playing clean now I just gotta figure out how to do this stuff... you guys rock at spending my money
EVOL!
I've totally been wanting to put a p94 in my SG. Yours has me GASin cept I want one in the bridge. I love me some fuzz factory + spacey delay man. The P94 is a very tasty single coil. In my SG it reminds me of those big single coils they put in Jazzmasters, but with more sweetness. Fuzzy can give you a good evaluation. I dropped him a demo of some recent songs my band is working on. The first track is almost all with the P94. Fuzz Factorys and analog delays are Church of the Sonic Guitar approved. I like to get both osculating into UFO landing on your roof land and let the listener freak out. At least it is supposed to unless I mess something up. With a painted enclosure, it should be less than 30 dollars total. Compare that to 240 LOL The P94 is a very tasty single coil. The songs are pretty cool and the ~2 minute oscillation flurry warzone freakout is pretty sweet. I was listening to it in the car and everyone I passed while stuck in traffic rolled up their windows... that's about as good of a compliment you can get for freaky oscillation Did someone say P90? Check out what Carrie Brownstein of Wild Flag is sporting these days. Please, no pictures of SGs in cool colors sporting P90s and a bigsby. It hurts my GAS... If it's any consolation, she bats for the other team so the idea of seducing her to get access to that guitar is right out. You'll get denied like trying to deke on Timmy Thomas. I figure it would be cheaper to buy a Custom Shop SG in Prlham Blue for 3600 then try to get with a chick just for her guitars...
