richardw
Hi, Does the ES-330 (mine was made in 2010, I think) come with the "ABR-1 Tune-o-matic Bridge", or the "Historic Non-Wire ABR-1 Bridge"? From the ads I've read, I thought it came with the standard "ABR-1 Tune-o-matic Bridge", and yet mine doesn't have a retaining wire. When I adjust the saddles, they have a tendency to try to work themselves out of the bridge as I turn the screw, instead of just moving backwards or forwards like they're supposed to. Any suggestions? Thanks, Richard

cdntac
The saddles should only ever have to be moved when you're setting the intonation. Granted, if you're constantly changing string gauges perhaps you'd have to do it more often. But otherwise, once the intonation is set you never have to move the saddles. If you're just setting the intonation now, loosen the strings a bit before moving the saddles. That will allow them to move easier.
ShiekofGeek
I have two CS-356's, a 2007 model I bought used and a 2011 model I bought new. The 2007 has the wire and the 2011 has the non-wire bridge. Since the 2007 buzzes a bit, I like the non-wire version. While I thinking about it, I haven't changed the strings yet. Should I expect the saddles to fall out when I do?
