Townsend guitar maintenance

A guitar is a thing made by a person or two or three to be played for pleasure and for fun. Even a rubbish piece out of the oriental robo-factories can bring pleasure to someone somewhere - some people can't afford a few thousand bucks for a guitar and are glad of anything they can get. I recently sent some strings out to a music teacher in Bosnia - because he can't get them locally, let alone guitars.

Smashing them up 'for entertainment', or even for art's sake, is kinda sad in my humble opinion.

But some folk like to set dogs on each other, or cockerels, and all for fun and pleasure.

Some folk like to beat other folk to the ground and video it to put on YouTube.

I guess we just have to admit the world has craziness in it.....

The thought of " Playing a Pete T. enters my mind after dropping 3700.00 bucks on the Alex Lifeson ES-355 .

Gibson won't remove it , they say it belongs there , yet why ? The artist approved it I have been told . /boggle /????

Right click open in new window , it will save you from the occasional forum boot out .

A close period Volute , back when they served the purpose to strengthen the neck from the truss rod cut out .

This one is Just there to be " Period Correct " as Alex's original has a Real volute , most did in the 70s .
