Axcess Neck question

'm very close to taking the plunge on an Axcess (Lifeson model) but a little worried about the neck. I have smaller sized hands (wrist crease to tip of middle finger about 7.5"), and from what I understand the Axcess's have a rather broad neck. I'm a little worried how this will be to play. I haven't had the opportunity to play the Axcess or the Lifeson. So I'm looking for some feedback from those of you that have either the Axcess or the "Al" and smaller sized hands. I can tell you my hand feels really comfortable on my "Wolfie" neck and pretty good on my Epi pro/fx that has the 60's slim neck. I really hate to spend this much money and not be able to navigate the neck well.

Any feedback would be appreciated

Thanks!

I don't have either but I have a PRS Custom 24 that has the same width (called a wide thin neck). My hands are pretty small too. I'll admit that it felt a bit weird at first but then I got used to it. Now I love it.

Thanks for your input! I went and checked out PRS with the (wide thin neck) and did feel a little odd to me but was very playable. So playable I decided to make a 2 1/2 drive last night and grab a lifeson. You nalied it! The neck feels very similar.

Thanks for your input! Gibson owes you one!

Congratulations - if you've played the LP standard issue "plekked" neck (since 2008) and a slim-tapered, I'd be curious if it's closer to one or the other. I've got both, but prefer slimmer to fatter. Enjoy the Lifeson!

I have smaller hands & of all my guitars, 40 or so, I play my Les Paul Axcess on stage almost exclusively. The neck is a nice size for me. Very comfortable. Just the right size for someone with small hands. You'll love it.

I have a 2009 axcess and its neck feels like a 60's slim taper neck. Very comfortable. I don't like thick necks. I also have a PRS custom 24 with wide thin neck. It's similar to axcess.
