Violin Burst

Hi, I have a 1990 Les Paul Custon 'Violin Burst'.

I havn't seen another in the UK - can anybody give me any information as to the numbers produced etc.

Violin Burst? Thats a new one for me. Looks like a tobaccoburst to me, looks awesome.

 

 

Thanks for your comment - she really is a beaut! not quite as dark as a tobacco - and she weighs a ton!

Case candy definately states 'Violin Burst' - perhaps rarer than I first thought, as nobody has come up with any info!

shes 21yrs old and there were 209 made before her maybe alot more made after (gibson will be able to tell you)

 

the finish may be a one off it is a lighter tobacco burst named violin burst

Just got a reply from Gibson, they say it's a 'Vintage Sunburst' although the Gibson Tag with the case candy says 'Violin Burst'- Very Interesting!

 

 

The serial number of this guitar links in our database to a Les Paul Custom in Vintage Sunburst with Gold hardware, made in Nashville, Tennessee in 1990.

The Les Paul Custom in Vintage Sunburst was available in our standard product range in 1990. We do not have any number on production totals available, since this information is kept confidential.
