Guys, I'm going to bite the bullet and pre order her I think sometime next week. £299 free delivery from Andertons. No where else in the UK has got it on Pre Order not even GAK. So hopefully on Monday I'm going to get my card punch in the numbers and get me a TV Yellow P90 sg.

Also when Epi say ltd, is it actually ltd or one of these names again?

[thumbup] I've noticed a LOT of us are heading for P-90s on guitars.

After receiving and playing miine, I was dumbfounded - the TONE, the TONE!!!!

Been a Humbucker fan all my life, cannot for the life of me understand why

it took so long for me to discover P-90s.

Totally Vintage 70s Rock when cranked, and Blues, Pink Floyd, Dire Straits, etc

when dialed down.

Gotta have BOTH in the arsenal! [thumbup]

I got my SG with hum's, I got my Junior with the dog ear P90. Love the sound that i try to make come out of the JR, but the JR has a few problems. I love how the sg is just light, and you can just throw it about, so when they announced the P90 sg was coming out, I literally died. I did think about getting the gibbo one if i put an extra £250, but the first Gibson I'm going to get is the LP junior. Dont ask me when though :D. Its just an awesome sound, especially when my idol Billie Joe mainly uses Jr's and P90s, just makes it better to jam to ;).

I found a Les Paul Special SC (Single Cut) in TV yellow or Burgundy with P 90's at the Guitar Center in Montgomery, AL. It has a set neck(Mahogany & Mahogany body) like the Gibson, and on the back said Custom Shop Limited Edition. It was set up in the USA in Nashville. It was listed at $ 349.00 for the Burgundy and $379.00 for the TV Yellow. Instead of the wrap around bridge it has a tune o matic bridge wit a stop bar tailpiece. I got the Burgundy on the 4th of July sale for $329.00 which included tax. The guitar is well made. It was hanging by its Gibson counter part, and I played both side by side on a Deluxe Reverb 65 Reissuse on the clean channel. I played both on the same settings. The Gibson was nitrocellulose and the epi was polyurethane. Other than the headstock, the price and a lttle thicker neck on the Epi, everything was identical. The Gibson had a white bound neck, and the Epi had a brown bound neck. The finish on the frets was far better on the Epi. The Epi has a 3 ply pick guard (Black/white/Black). I do not have a camera, so I cannot post a picture. It is on the Guitar center website and They are having a good sale through Monday the 11th. The pickups are quiet and hotter than the Texas Specials in my strat. They are not as hot as the burstbuckers in my Joe Bonamassa, but close.

I love P-90's. My next guitar will definately have P-90's (gassing for a Casino). I actually prefer the stock Gibson P-90's over Duncans and the stock Epi P-90's are actually pretty good especially if you like them with more output.

Please do not get me gassing on a casino :P

I know, I know. But its like 2months away :o. I just want her now!!!

That Cigar Box guitar I've had in the Lounge took about that long, but it was being built, and I was getting updates on the progress every few days.

Ooh, that's gotta hurt, that is a bit long, I know it's easy to say, but keep your eye on the prize, it'll be worth it in the end.
