bonzoboy
Vai would get my vote as he conveys soul in his playing moreso that Satch, and Malmsteen is completely devoid of conveying any emotion or feeling in his playing.Although Malmsteen is an incredible guitarist his playing is too antiseptic and clinical to my ears and all his playing seems like demonstration of just technical prowess. retrosurfer1959
Gotta agree with the none here - fast and soulless will never make it for me. Maybe if it started Duane Allman, Warren Haynes, and Jeff Healey followed by at least 50 or even a hundred others before any of the OP's three choices would show up on my list.
