AS90
I may have a good deal on an SG Classic, any one have one? Post some pics or tell me what they are like. Stand by...
Ian Martin
I do not own one of these guitars, but I can tell you this: 1.) They have P-90s. 2.) As a result, they ROCK. Perhaps even harder than a humbucker. Why hesitate? They RULE! BUY!!!
TattooedCarrot
Probably the best SG for the money out there. A fine guitar and priced decent for a Gibson (oops, did I say that?) SG's growl, P90's growl, Classics have both ](*,)/
rybass
Do classics come in black or are they just HC?
AS90
The one I am buying is black (ebony).
renin74
i got one in heritage cherry. at first I didn't bond with it, but now I love it. IT is the best sg for the price as it has binding and the cool gibson logo on the headstock, not the cheap decal. Sounds great too, never thought I would like p-90s, but I do. best bang for the buck...
VA_siCkBoy
The one I am buying is black (ebony). Definitely grab it! The ebony version is hard to come by these days. They are great guitars. I was just playing mine last night. I love it!

TattooedCarrot
Ebony black opaque or ebony stain that you can see the grain? The ebony stain was a regular production model until about 5 years ago and was discontinued; it's pretty sought after. The ebony opaque is rare, I know a music store in San Diego had a couple that were originally intended for Europe.

VA_siCkBoy
I know they made an ebony stain version along with heritage cherry in their first year of production. I did not know they made a pure ebony version. Be sure to post pics when she arrives. I'd really like to see what she looks like.

marantz1300
I don't know what the colour is called. The P90's can cover a lot of Les Paul and Tele ground,
TattooedCarrot
Its called ebony stain. They look very dark, almost black in regular light, but under brighter light or camera flash they look more like a dark transparent walnut. They are very cool. Here's the one I owned (and sold). [img']http://i262.photobucket.com/albums/ii98/marantz1300/100_0442.jpg[/img] I was wondering if you could just buy a special/standard pickguard that is cut out for HB and drop in a set, would need to know if the cutouts in the classic body are big enough for HB ?
