Hey guys, after wanting one since LAST christmas, I finally went out and bought my dream guitar- a Gibson Les Paul. Unfortunately, I won't be able to post pics until some time later tonight, so I thought I could copy Tim by playing a game- let's see if you forum people can guess what model I bought. I'll give you a hint: I didn't pay over $5K for it, and yes it is a real Gibson! I would have posted pics last night but I spent about 3 hours playing it and then I had to hit the hay if I wanted any sleep at all. smile.gif By the way Tim, it's totally your fault I bought this guitar.... stupid GAS....

sorry Tim' date=' perhaps I should specify... it's not a Custom Shop reissue. Not to say it's completely a reissue exactly, but it's not a VOS guitar. forgive me for my lack of internet lingo knowledge, but what does DB stand for?[/quote']

Stands for Desertburst.

Oh, I know...you got a Silverburst Custom!

Alright, you'd better start posting pics soon...or else I will. O:)

not a deserburst OR a custom. some more hints perhaps? I only paid $2199 +tax for it, although the list price is $3199. It came with a pickguard factory-installed, and it has the LP signature on the headstock. As far as I know, it was manufactured before August 2008. and as for pics... it'll probably be about another half hour at least. (hopefully sooner, but... you know...)

Good call Fenn' date=' I think it's a Classic too, because of this comment.

and because the classic was discontinued august/september, it has the PG attached, and they retailed at about 2199.99.
