Hummingbird KOA Specs.

I wonder why Gibson STILL hasn't updated the specs, or the photo of the Hummingbird Custom Koa on this website?

Shoot.... the new style has been out for about a year now, and the photo and spec still references the old style, (in some places).

Headstock inlays aren't Hummingbirds, it's a hummingbird and flower.

The fretboard inlays are hummingbirds and flowers, not the Orpheum-style thingies as in the photo!

We were discussion this "spec" situation over on the LP forum. There have been some updates and additions made to the electric side of the website, but there's still work that needs to be done. Gibson customers are frequently frustrated with the lack of information available on certain models, both on the website and by sales people at authorized dealers.

BK.... yeah...I was just "venting" a little... when I was searching for one of these guitars, I kept checking this site for updates.

The only reason I found one is that I kept searching the GC site for them also.

One day they "instantly" had 7 for sale throughout the US, one of which was close to me, so I contacted them and

put a hold on it 'til I could get in there.

And the only way I knew it was the "new" style was because GC had photos of the actual guitars they had for sale.

I really like the "old" style too, but I specifically wanted the H'Bird to be a "match" to the DIF.
