BigKahune
. Great stuff from "Chaos and Creation at Abbey Road" - here's the whole show - http://www.youtube.com/results?search_query=Chaos+%26+Creation+at+Abbey+Road&aq=f In this YouTube series, your clip is at 5:25 on the 3/7 video. And another bit at 7:15 on 4/7 below - Paul shows a vintage bass once belonging to Bill Black (Elvis) and he plays Heartbreak Hotel for the audience. Take a close look - the bass is strung right handed and Paul plays it left handed. B) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-IRNQMHETE4
E-minor7
Another situation where Paul grabs the upside down. A backstage backside shot of him with Lennons second J-160E. This time bought at Manny's which shows on the headstock sticker (as some might remember the first was from Rushworth's England). Here goes The Nerd of The Rings : The second J-160E is recognizable from the front by the 2 sound-hole rings. The first only had 1 – both George's and John's. Still after gettin' number 2, Lennon is often seen playing a single-ringed, which means George's. Was it better sounding. . . ?
rar
Still after gettin' number 2, Lennon is often seen playing a single-ringed, which means George's. Actually, means it was John's. Or at least the one that was originally John's. John and George had exchanged guitars -- apparently unknowingly -- at some point and it was actually George's, which was the one John was usually playing at that time, that was stolen. (It says something about the significance of the Beatles that this sort of trivia is "common knowledge" half a century later!) The real lesson here is that the Fabs (even George) were pretty casual about their guitars. My guess is that, when John was playing the '62 rather than the '64, it's simply because the '62 happened to be the one that was closer to where he was sitting. -- Bob R
E-minor7
Yeah the one Paul plays above is John's. Here it is from the front. In fact a seldom shot. Mostly John kept jangling George's unstolen original. Actually he looks as if he's testing it with a hint of scepticism -
