Gibson101
Please post some sound clips of what you think best exemplifies classic Gibson tone. I have heard and read so much about Gibson tone, now I need to hear a bunch of it. Please post a clip of what you think it is and maybe a description of it. YouTube videos, maybe personal sound clips of you playing, whatever you got. Thanks!

rar
It's tough to narrow this down to a reasonable number! But here are a couple of examples. -- Bob R

Low Country Boy
Damn Rar - I'd totally forgotten Embryonic Journey. It's Jorma at his best. It's sad that he won't play a Gibson in public anymore. Thanks for bringing it back to me. This is one of the main reasons I hang out on internet music boards. LCB

Guth
It's interesting that many of you chose examples using an amplified signal via a pickup as the tone that best exemplifies the classic Gibson acoustic sound. I think this goes a long way towards highlighting why online discussions around tone are such a difficult thing.

retrorod
I find it difficult to define the 'singular' Gibson 'tone'. The same Gibson could sound different in a multitude of players' hands. THIS is a 'good one'... Rod
