The timing turns on this track are insane.

No you got me on that one. The singer sounds familiar though and I like the riff. Will have to check some more of there stuff out. Thanks!

It did conjure this up in "my mind" Though...

What a great freakin' band and Doug Pinnick is a complete monster vocally and on bass. Ty Tabor is no slouch either. I always liked his tone too but hard to tell from the youtube clip.

I remember hearing this for the first time and about Shite my pants. I always liked Chris Cornell but this just blew me away. The power, range, and soul he has is just freakin' amazing.

Come to think of it this whole damn album was great as far as the Cornell stuff ( although I hated hunger strike )

Riverdogs was a band formed by Vivian Campbell and a folk singer song writer Rob Lamoth. They wanted to do melodic hard rock but actually say something while doing it because by 1989 everyone was sick of meaningless drivel of Poison and FireHouse. Great band but they had the misfortune of having to share a marketing budget with Pearl Jam. This meant they had no marketing budget... so most people have never heard of them.

Love the Temple of the Dog stuff! "All Night Thing" is unbelievable. I'm a sucker for a Hammond.

The entire TOTD record was Cornell's tribute to Andy "Star Dog" Wood who was the singer for Mother Love Bone and the real "Godfather of Grunge". After Wood died of a heroine over dose Mother Love Bone hires Eddie Vedder and because Pearl Jam. See how it all connects?
