Anyone familiar with Price guitar cases

Calico

Recommended Posts

Ive never seen one, but Gary Price is from a banjo/mando background,

making tailpeices, bridges, and besides other things cases.

The folks on Banjohangout.org hold his case in high regard = to Calton.

At least some of the folks looking for an alternative to Calton are going to Hoffee Cases. I had not seen the Price cases before, so thanks for making me aware of them. I think the wedge design is interesting as it might make the case a bit more stable when on its side. And it should allow for more padding and more storage area inside. I would have expected it to be heavier but the stats quoted on the web site show it as virtually the same as a Calton. It also seems that the shape would provide additional protection to the guitar neck, at least in terms of damage from the side. There's a lot of space there. The list price of the Price (sounds a bit odd) is better than either Calton or Hoffee.

I hope we'll hear from someone with actual first-hand experience.
