I'm 100% Pure Gibson ...

... and lovin' it.

After the pick thread, I order a tin of medium and a tin of thin Gibson picks. Also got another 6 sets of Masterbuilt Lights. Of course, I know the strings well and they sound great on my TVSJ. Admittedly, they go dull a bit quickly, but in their prime they are fine. What is the pleasant surprise is the Gibson picks. First, the come in a very cool looking metal tin with a white on black logo. Second, there is a boat load of them in there. Third, they stick to my fingers amazingly well. Easily as good as the Dunlop Ultrex. Fourth, they are simple black with the proper Gibson trademark and the letter 'T' or 'M'. But what makes them stand out is the great clean sound they make picking or strumming. No clicking, clean and quick notes, they let the strings ring clean. I heartily recommend you give them a try.

So like I said, am pure Gibson and lovin' it tonight.

Danner, were you ever on the old Gibson forum before they upgraded to this one? There was a guy on the old forum back around 2005 who was ka-razy about the Gibson picks! But he specifically liked the ones that said 'acoustic' on them. He had folks mailing him those particular ones because they were scarce at the time. Anyway, I have a few kicking around still. I think I'll have to try them tonight! [biggrin]

Glad you bought somme Danner. You description is exactly how i see them. They really stick in the finger amazingly well, Ive never been able to do arpeggios or flatpick as easily as with these picks. Also agree on the tone, gives a very clear, transparent tone without an fuzz or filter. The make my SWD sound like an all together different beast, the combination of the clean not seperation with this pick and rosewood warth makes for a killer combo.

Oh yeah, and I love the Gibson candybox it came in !
