black beauty or R9?

Steve, are you thinking of a regular Custom or a historic? Historics are way better and for the same price.

BB or R9 - do you want a rosewood or ebony fretboard?

not played a historic, but the regular was awesome...i played a VOS 59 and it was also very "smile on face" sounding :)

You'd probably expect me to say this but please try out an R6, you might be surprised.

Btw, I thought you'd shifted that GM about a month ago, saw you'd relisted it on eBay. Wish I'd known you still had it.

If you have decent money to spend and want a quality unique Les Paul type guitar; consider contacting these guys

Morgan Guitars

The 'Les Paul type' guitar he had on sale at the London guitar show a few years back was one of the best Les Pauls I have played to date [thumbup] (about £3000)

or Charles de Lacy who made the late Worzel's Les Paul (about £1000)

For roughly under a grand Gibson are amazing value and rule , Above that (on the whole) I think you get a way better (and more personal) instrument getting a luthier built instrument

Why's this thread been revived? This is from 2011 and Steve was suspended ages ago

As a bit of a prank by The Green Hornet. I don't think Steve has actually been suspended, though. He took that 'title' but, AFAIK, is still a member. He just hasn't been hereabouts for a while.

I could be wrong, though.

Anyone any news?

:-k
